About the Role

We are seeking an experienced AWS Engineer to join a long-term platform project with an immediate start. You will be responsible for maintaining scalable ETL pipelines and within the AWS ecosystem. This is a 100% remote role for candidates based in Portugal, offering the opportunity to contribute to a major data transformation initiative.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop ETL pipelines using AWS Glue, including Glue Catalog, Jobs, and Crawlers.

• Manage and optimize data storage and retrieval processes in AWS S3.

• Build and maintain secure and scalable data lakes using AWS Lake Formation.

• Use AWS Athena to query and analyze large datasets, optimizing for performance and cost.

• Troubleshoot issues across the AWS stack, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.

• Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

• Manage multiple workstreams and deliver against project deadlines.
