Senior Business Central Developer
An international company in the renewable energy sector is looking for an experienced Business Central (BC) Developer to support the ongoing evolution of its ERP landscape. The focus is on finance and procurement workflows across a multi-entity, multi-country setup, covering operations in Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
This is a fully remote position, with the opportunity to move into a long-term role after the initial contract phase.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Business Central (BC) solutions, primarily within finance and procurement
- Create and support AL extensions; assist with legacy C/AL transitions if needed
- Work directly with finance and procurement teams to understand business requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions
- Enhance support for multi-currency, multi-entity, and project-based accounting
- Integrate BC with third-party tools such as Power BI, document management systems, and project tracking platforms
- Follow coding standards, document technical work, and contribute to deployment processes
- Collaborate across teams and time zones, supporting both local and global stakeholders
Requirements
- At least 5 years' experience developing in Business Central / Dynamics NAV
- Solid understanding of finance (GL, AP/AR, fixed assets) and procurement (POs, vendor workflows, approvals) in a BC context
- Skilled in AL development using Visual Studio Code
- Experience working in project-based industries (e.g., energy, construction, infrastructure)
- Comfortable in multi-company, multi-currency ERP environments
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
- Proactive, independent, and able to communicate clearly in a remote setting
- Fluent in English, German is a plus
