SAP PPM consultant
Next Ventures are looking for an experienced SAP PPM (Project Portfolio Management) consultant to support a major Utilities / Construction transformation program in Europe.

Consultant must be based in Europe or UK and available to work European time zone.
Also must be open to travel for a client meet /Workshop etc.

The ideal candidates will have a strong background in SAP PPM within S/4HANA and a solid understanding of end-to-end project management and portfolio governance processes. Experience working with large-scale utilities, construction, or engineering companies is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver SAP PPM solution design, configuration, and implementation.
• Conduct business workshops to gather and translate requirements into system design.
• Align PPM functionality with Project System (PS), Finance (FI/CO), and Procurement (MM) integration points.
• Design and implement project structures, portfolio hierarchies, resource management, and reporting.
• Advise on SAP best practices for project lifecycle, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Support testing (SIT/UAT), cutover, and deployment activities.
• Provide knowledge transfer and training to business stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in a global template rollout environment.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of SAP experience, with a minimum of 5 years in SAP PPM.
• Proven experience delivering SAP PPM solutions in Utilities, Construction, or Engineering industries.
• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA PPM, including Project Management, Portfolio Management, and Resource Management.
• Integration knowledge with PS, FI/CO, MM, and EPPM.
• Experience in project governance, approval workflows, and project lifecycle management.
• Hands-on configuration skills and familiarity with Fiori apps related to project management.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills in international project environments.
• Experience working in Agile or Hybrid delivery models.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP EPPM, CPM (Commercial Project Management), or SAP Activate methodology.
• Prior involvement in Utilities, Energy, or Infrastructure sector transformations.
• SAP Certification in PPM / PS / EPPM (advantageous).

• Ability to work independently and lead discussions with senior stakeholders.
• Fluent in English (any additional European language is a plus).
