SAP APO to SAP IBP Conversion Consultant

Next Ventures are currently searching for an experienced SAP APO to IBP Conversion SME to support the migration of Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO) functionalities to SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP). The role requires hands-on experience in APO modules (SNP, DP, PP/DS) and a deep understanding of the SAP IBP suite for Demand, Supply, and Response & Planning.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, and technical teams to design, implement, and optimize planning processes in line with SAP best practices and S/4HANA integration.

Location: Remote  (onsite travel as required) to attend workshop   
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6–12 months (extendable)
Language: English (additional EU language a plus). Must EU or Uk Passport holder.

Key Responsibilities:
 

• Lead or support the transition from SAP APO to SAP IBP, including process analysis, solution design, and implementation.
• Conduct fit-gap assessments between APO and IBP capabilities.
• Configure and implement SAP IBP modules (Demand, Supply, Response & Inventory).
• Ensure integration with S/4HANA, PP/DS, and other connected systems (CPI-DS, Cloud Connector, etc.).
• Migrate master and transaction data from APO to IBP and validate results.
• Define and execute test plans, user training, and post-go-live support.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize planning processes and ensure business continuity.
• Provide expertise in IBP Control Tower, Analytics, and SAP Fiori applications.

Required Skills & Experience:
 

• 10+ years overall SAP experience, including 5+ years in APO (SNP, DP, PP/DS).
• 2+ full life cycle SAP IBP implementations (Demand, Supply, or Inventory).
• Strong understanding of APO-IBP migration tools, methodologies, and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with CPI-DS, HCI, or other middleware integration tools.
• Excellent knowledge of planning master data, time series data, and key figures.
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum project environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience in consumer goods, manufacturing, or supply chain industries preferred.

Nice to Have:
 

• Knowledge of S/4HANA PP/DS integration with IBP.
• Familiarity with IBP for Demand Sensing, IBP for Response & Supply.
• SAP Certification in IBP or APO.
• Experience in global template rollouts or multi-country implementations.
