EDI Expert - Japanese speaking - EDIFACT/B2B and EDI transactions - Manufacturing

Next Ventures seeks an experienced EDI Expert IT Consultant to work on a key project in Hybrid or remote Delivery.  The successful candidate must have fluency in Japanese Language, and be available to travel to Tokyo when needed.
Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• 3 to 6 years of Experience in EDI area
• Focus on Triage tickets, specifically focusing on support role
• Identify trends and suggest long-term fixes
• Design, develop, and maintain integration solutions using EDI Software
• Configure, test, and deploy B2B and EDI transactions, ensuring alignment with requirements and industry standards
• Monitor and troubleshoot integration processes to ensure efficient data flow and resolve any issues promptly
• Knowledge on EDI standards like ANSI X12, EDIFACT, etc.
• Ability to troubleshoot EDI transactions and technical issues independently
• Experience in requirements gathering, design, mapping, and development of new maps and components for B2B integration
• Experience in testing end to end with customer/trading partner and backend systems.
• Excellent experience working directly with customers.
• Good understanding of EDI transactions for Retail, Logistics & Warehouse Transactions (Retail/Logistics will be an added advantage)
• Hands-on experience in mapping, CSV, IDOC, flat files, XML, JSON, etc
• SFTP and AS2 hands-on experience in creating all setups (from scratch and not only supporting)
• Lead Future State solution design based on customer requirements

    • Document changes in roles and responsibilities
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement to increase productivity for all components
    • Develop a testing plan with the customer and execute to the plan
    • Develop SOP’s and training materials, as well as conduct training on application client, vendor and carrier portals
