Staff Software Engineer
We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer with 5–8 years of experience to provide technical leadership across high-impact engineering initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical depth with a product-minded approach and enjoys solving complex business problems through scalable software solutions.
You will play a key role in expanding engineering capabilities, driving architectural improvements, and helping the team execute on a new generation of platform and product initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects end-to-end, from initial design through deployment and ongoing optimization
- Partner closely with product managers and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
- Design and develop distributed, service-oriented systems capable of handling large datasets and high traffic volumes
- Contribute to architectural decisions and help evolve the overall engineering strategy and technology stack
- Mentor and collaborate with other engineers, providing technical guidance and promoting engineering best practices
- Build and maintain high-quality full-stack applications using Python/Django on the backend and React on the frontend
- Drive improvements in system reliability, scalability, and developer efficiency
Qualifications
- 5–8 years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong experience building scalable full-stack applications
- Expertise with Python and Django
- Frontend experience with React and modern JavaScript frameworks
- Experience working with distributed systems, APIs, and service-oriented architectures
- Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and performance optimization
- Proven ability to lead technical projects and influence architectural direction
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with large datasets and data-intensive applications
- Background in high-growth or fast-paced engineering environments
- Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical initiatives across teams
