Your Role

As a Senior SAP PSM Consultant, you will support public sector clients through large-scale SAP transformation initiatives, helping modernise financial management, budgeting, grants management, and public-sector business processes within SAP S/4HANA environments.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders, project teams, and functional experts to design and deliver solutions that drive efficiency, transparency, and compliance across public sector organisations.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise public sector clients on SAP Public Sector Management (PSM) solutions and best practices
• Lead workshops to gather business requirements and translate them into scalable SAP solutions
• Design and implement SAP PSM functionality including:
  • Funds Management (FM)
  • Grants Management (GM)
  • Budget Control System (BCS)
  • Public Sector-specific financial processes
• Support SAP S/4HANA transformation, migration, and rollout programmes
• Analyse, optimise, and digitalise business processes across finance and public administration functions
• Collaborate with cross-functional SAP teams including FI/CO, MM, SD, HCM, and Analytics
• Conduct system testing, user training, and go-live support activities
• Support proposal development and contribute to the continued growth of the SAP Public Sector practice
• Depending on experience, take ownership of workstreams, project leadership, or mentoring junior consultants

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience

• Several years of experience delivering SAP Public Sector Management (PSM) solutions
• Strong expertise in one or more of:
  • Funds Management (FM)
  • Grants Management (GM)
  • Budget Control System (BCS)
  • Public Sector Accounting
• Experience working within public sector, government, defence, or regulated environments
• Knowledge of SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments
• Strong understanding of financial and budget management processes within public institutions
• Experience participating in full project lifecycles including design, implementation, testing, and deployment

Preferred Experience

• SAP S/4HANA transformation experience
• Experience with SAP FI/CO integration
• Exposure to federal, state, or local government projects
• Previous consulting experience within a system integrator or technology consultancy
• Project leadership or team management experience

Languages

• Fluent German (C1/C2)
