Senior SAP Service Management (SM) Consultant – SAP S/4HANA Migration

Role Overview

Next Ventures are currently executing a search for an experienced Senior SAP Service Management (SM) Consultant to support a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation and migration program within a field services-driven business environment.

The ideal candidate will combine strong SAP Service Management expertise with hands-on experience in S/4 migration programs and deep understanding of service-centric operational processes. The consultant will play a key role in designing and implementing future-state service management processes, supporting migration execution, and ensuring successful business adoption.

This position requires close collaboration with Swedish-speaking business stakeholders; therefore, fluency in Swedish is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support SAP Service Management (SM) process design and implementation within an SAP S/4HANA transformation program
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand current operational models and define future-state service management processes
  • Drive the transition from legacy project WBS and PM work order structures toward SAP Service Management capabilities
  • Configure and support integration of:
    • Service contracts
    • Service orders
    • Billing and pricing processes
    • Resource and service execution workflows
  • Participate in SAP S/4 migration activities, including:
    • Historical data migration
    • Open transaction migration
    • Data validation and reconciliation
    • Cutover preparation and execution
  • Support migration build and execution activities across functional and technical workstreams
  • Apply SAP Activate methodology throughout project delivery phases
  • Facilitate workshops, fit-to-standard sessions, and business process alignment meetings
  • Collaborate with cross-functional SAP teams including Finance, Logistics, EAM/PM, SD, and integration teams
  • Support testing activities including SIT, UAT, defect management, and business validation
  • Assist with business readiness, change management, and user adoption activities
  • Provide guidance on industry best practices for field service operations and service lifecycle management

Required Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience working on SAP S/4HANA migration or transformation programs
  • Strong hands-on expertise with SAP Service Management (SM)
  • Proven experience integrating:
    • Service contracts
    • Service orders
    • Billing
    • Pricing
      within SAP service processes
  • Strong understanding of migration build and execution activities, including historical data and open item migration
  • Experience applying SAP Activate methodology in SAP S/4 projects
  • Experience working within field services organizations or service-oriented industries
  • Ability to quickly understand operational business models and service execution processes
  • Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills
  • Experience working in complex, cross-functional transformation environments
  • Fluent Swedish language skills are mandatory (spoken and written)
  • Strong English communication skills

Preferred Experience

  • Experience transitioning organizations from PM work orders/WBS-based execution to SAP Service Management processes
  • Knowledge of SAP PM/EAM integration points
  • Experience in utilities, engineering services, industrial services, or maintenance-focused organizations
  • Exposure to testing, cutover, and hypercare activities
  • Experience working in agile or hybrid SAP delivery models
