SAP aATP (Advanced Available-to-Promise) Consultant / Specialist – Job Specification

Next Ventures are currently executing a search for an experienced SAP aATP Consultant to design, configure, implement, and support Advanced Available-to-Promise (aATP) capabilities within SAP S/4HANA environments.

The ideal candidate will have strong functional expertise in aATP, deep knowledge of Order-to-Cash (OTC) processes, and experience in full lifecycle S/4HANA implementations.

Onsite and Remote (Hybrid working)
Sweden.
Applicants must be EU or UK passport holders (Or hold a valid work permit for Sweden) and available to go on site for workshops and occasional meetings .

Key Responsibilities

• Lead aATP-related workstreams in SAP S/4HANA implementations, rollouts, and optimizations.
• Configure and optimize Product Availability Check (PAC), including time-phased checks, mass processing, and checks against various supply elements.
• Design and implement Product Allocation (PAL) strategies to manage constrained inventory across customers, channels, or regions.
• Set up and manage Backorder Processing (BOP) for prioritized allocation, re-confirmation, and handling of shortages.
• Configure Alternative-Based Confirmation (ABC) and Supply Protection mechanisms.
• Integrate aATP with other SAP modules: SD (Sales & Distribution), MM, PP, EWM, TM, and IBP.
• Gather business requirements, perform gap analysis, and translate them into SAP solutions.
• Develop and execute test scenarios, support user acceptance testing (UAT), and provide hypercare/post-go-live support.
• Create functional specifications, training materials, and documentation.
• Work with technical teams on custom developments, enhancements, and Fiori apps.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and recommend process improvements.
• Stay current with SAP innovations in aATP and related supply chain solutions.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 8+ years of SAP functional consulting experience, with 3+ years focused on SAP S/4HANA aATP implementations.
• Strong expertise in:
  • Advanced Available-to-Promise (aATP)
  • Product Allocation (PAL)
  • Backorder Processing (BOP)
  • Alternative-Based Confirmation (ABC)
  • Supply Protection and Release for Delivery
• Deep knowledge of SAP SD (Order-to-Cash), MM, and PP processes.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain solutions and integration points (EWM, TM, IBP preferred).
• Full lifecycle SAP implementation experience (at least 2 full-cycle projects preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Information Systems, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).

Preferred Skills

• SAP certifications in S/4HANA Sales, Supply Chain, or aATP-related areas.
• Experience with Fiori, analytics, and reporting for aATP.
• Strong understanding of supply chain planning concepts and business scenarios (e.g., demand prioritization, shortage management).
• Client-facing skills, including requirements workshops and stakeholder management.
• Proficiency in English (additional languages a plus).
