Interim Logistics Director (French Speaking) – Rhône-Alpes, France

3–6 Month Interim Contract | Immediate Start | On-site

Our client is seeking an experienced Interim Logistics Director to provide operational leadership across a network of warehouses supporting the spare parts business for industrial machinery.

This is a hands-on operational assignment focused on driving performance, ensuring service excellence, and leading warehouse operations across multiple sites. The successful candidate will be an accomplished interim leader who can quickly assess operations, implement improvements, and deliver measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership across 3–4 warehouse locations within the Rhône-Alpes region.

• Ensure the efficient storage, inventory management, and distribution of industrial machinery spare parts.

• Drive operational performance through KPI management, continuous improvement, and best practice implementation.

• Lead and develop warehouse management teams, ensuring high levels of engagement and accountability.

• Optimise warehouse processes to improve productivity, inventory accuracy, customer service, and cost efficiency.

• Maintain high standards of health & safety, compliance, and operational governance.

• Work closely with supply chain, customer service, procurement, and senior leadership to ensure seamless operational execution.

• Identify operational risks and implement practical solutions to improve performance throughout the contract period.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience as a Logistics Director, Head of Logistics, or Senior Warehouse Operations Leader within an industrial, manufacturing, engineering, or aftermarket spare parts environment.

• Demonstrable success managing multi-site warehouse operations.

• Strong background in spare parts logistics, industrial equipment, engineering, manufacturing, or technical distribution.

• A pragmatic, delivery-focused interim professional with the ability to make an immediate impact.

• Strong leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability with a focus on operational excellence.

• Fluent French and English are essential.
